Obligations of a Muslim Wife:
Imam Muhammad Baqir (‘a) has stated:
Once a woman came to the Mohammed (SAS-Peace be upon him) and said:
‘O Messenger of Allah! What are the rights of men upon their wives?’
Rasool-Allah (SAS-Peace be upon him):
A Religious Wife should obey him and not be disobedient.
Charity from house should not be given without Husband’s permission.
A Muslim Wife not supposes to perform voluntary fasts without the permission of her Husband.
She must not deny him her body, even if she is on the back of a camel.
And she must not exit her home without the permission of her Husband.18
A Muslim Married Women holds great Values and responsibilities towards the Husbands, Family, Kids and Society. Many A’Hadith we have in this regards. The obligations had been Characterized in single phrase: That taking good care of Husband.
(Amir al-Mu’minin (‘a) has stated: The jihad of a woman is taking good care of her husband.16
Regarding a woman who takes good care of her husband, is like:
A Pious Muslim Wife welcomes the instructions of her beloved husband.
A Wife warden’s her Life Partner’s Family, Children and his Money in his absence.
Muslim Women should commune on all the essential issues with the Partner
Obeying commands whole heartedly, wholesome behavior and kindness she reassures her husband and turns her home into Best Place of Ease.
Aiding and Consoling the Mate in his tough times is another quality
A wife is trustworthy for her Mate’s property and avoids wasting
A Pious Muslim Wife Encourages, supports and always stands with her loved one towards Good deeds
Being Faithful in Partner’s secrets, trust worthiness, loving, compassionate, etc are the signs of a Good Muslim Wife
Imam Sadiq (‘a) has cited the Prophet of Allah (SWT) through his father:
No Muslim man has gained more benefit after becoming Muslim than through a Muslim wife who gives him a feeling of happiness when he looks at her, and obeys him when he gives her a command, guards her and his property when he is absent.17
